Saint Michael's among 24 institutions honored with NCAA award for academic excellence

COLCHESTER, Vt. - Thanks to its nation-leading Academic Success Rate (ASR), Saint Michael's College has become one of 24 institutions to earn an inaugural Division II Presidents' Award for Academic Excellence. The accolade recognizes departments boasting a four-year ASR of 90 percent or better.

Saint Michael's graduated 99 percent of its student-athletes during the most recent four-year period for which the NCAA accounted. For the second straight four-year cycle, Saint Michael's had a 99-percent graduation rate, significantly higher than the national average of 72 percent. The data shows that 17 of the College's 21 programs had a 100-percent ASR for this four-year span of student-athletes.

The College was among five Northeast-10 Conference institutions recognized, as the league led Division II in number of members qualifying for the accolade.
