Dusha chosen to compete in NFHCA Division II Senior Game

COLCHESTER, Vt. - Saint Michael's College field hockey senior Abby Dusha (Greenwich, N.Y./Greenwich Central School) has been selected to compete in the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division II Senior Game on Nov. 19 at Stonehill College at 3 p.m.

Thirty-eight players from Division II were chosen for the contest, including 17 from the Northeast-10 Conference. Dusha is now the 16th Purple Knight selected to participate in the contest in the last 10 years.

A senior captain after serving as an assistant captain her junior year, Dusha turned in team highs of six goals and 14 points from her forward position. A starter in 33 of her 34 games the last two falls, when she totaled 14 goals and six assists, Dusha is tied for 18th in the NE-10 this season in goals. In a 1-0 double-overtime victory at Franklin Pierce University, she turned in the lone defensive save of her career, maintaining a tie during the 17th minute of overtime.

Saint Michael's, which ended the year 6-12 overall and 3-9 in the league, finished off a season which saw it head to overtime a program-record seven times, suffering five of its six one-goal setbacks in extra time.
