Kate Martin Earns Second NE10 Weekly Honor Roll Nod of Season

COLCHESTER, Vt. - Saint Michael's College women's lacrosse senior Kate Martin (Mattapoisett, Mass./Bishop Stang) earned a position on the Northeast-10 Conference Weekly Honor Roll for the week ending on Sunday, April 14. It was her second accolade of the spring.

Martin posted six goals, one assist, four ground balls, three draw controls and five controls in a 1-1 week. During a 16-15 win over Franklin Pierce University on Wednesday, she notched a hat trick, an assist, a ground ball, one draw control and three caused turnovers before finishing with another hat trick, three ground balls, two draw controls and two caused turnovers in a 20-6 loss at No. 16 University of New Haven on Saturday.

Martin has career highs nearly across the board this season, with 21 goals, seven assists, 20 ground balls and 15 caused turnovers out of the midfield to go along with 28 draw controls. In fact, she has surpassed or matched her career figures entering the season in goals, assists and ground balls. Martin is approaching the program's all-time top 10 in career draw controls and caused turnovers.

The Purple Knights, who are 3-8 overall and 1-8 in the NE10, host Southern New Hampshire University on Wednesday at 3:30 p.m.
