    COLCHESTER, Vt. – Saint Michael's College (11-17, 2-12 NE-10) defeated Middlebury College (13-15) by the scores of 28-30, 30-26, 30-25, 24-30, 22-20 in volleyball action at the Ross Sports Center on Tuesday evening. With a tie game going into the final match, both teams traded points and advantages, but the Purple Knights hung tough and won the set and the match.

    COLCHESTER, Vt. – Saint Michael's College (10-17, 2-12 NE-10) was defeated by the University of New Haven (21-12) and Bentley College (22-10, 12-1 NE-10) in straight sets on Saturday afternoon at Bentley. Junior Leslie Herwig (Kingston, N.Y./Kingston) added 14 kills in both matches and sophomore Amy Manougian (Rye, N.H./Portsmouth) recorded 45 assists in both matches.

    SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. - Saint Michael's College (10-14), led by All-Tournament Team selection Leslie Herwig (Kingston, N.Y./Kingston), went 2-2 at the Skidmore Classic on Friday and Saturday. The Purple Knights lost both of their matches on Friday, but rebounded on Saturday for a 3-1 win over the City College of New York and a 3-0 victory versus Hamilton College to complete tournament play.
