The Purple Knights' ice hockey teams will "Think Pink" at Friday's doubleheader at Cairns Arena in South Burlington. The Saint Michael's women (3-14-2, 2-8-2 ECAC East) will kick things off at 4 p.m., as the Purple Knights host league-rival University of Southern Maine (5-12-2, 3-8-1 ECAC East). The Saint Michael's men (8-9-1, 5-7-1 ECAC East) then play at 7 p.m., hosting nationally-ranked Williams College (10-5-2, 7-4-1 NESCAC).
The basketball squads, meanwhile, will conduct their "Pink Zone" event on Thursday, February 10, as the Purple Knights host Northeast-10 Conference rival Merrimack College at the Ross Sports Center. The Saint Michael's women (9-8, 7-7 NE-10) will open the twinbill at 5:30 p.m. versus Merrimack (9-9, 7-7 NE-10), with the Saint Michael's men (8-10, 6-8 NE-10) and Merrimack (10-8, 6-8 NE-10) starting at approximately 7:30 p.m.
All fans attending Saint Michael's "Pink Zone" contests are encouraged to show their support for breast cancer awareness by wearing pink to the games. In addition, each "Pink Zone" game will feature raffles, prizes, and other contests, organized by the field hockey and women's lacrosse teams.
All proceeds from Saint Michael's "Pink Zone" games will benefit the Susan G. Komen for the Cure of Vermont.
