Matt Johnson Places Second at Franklin Pierce Fall Invitational

KEENE, N.H. - Senior Matt Johnson (Sudbury, Mass./Lincoln-Sudbury Regional) finished off a career-high second-place performance when the season-opening, two-day Franklin Pierce University Fall Invitational concluded on Monday at the Keene Country Club. Johnson helped the Purple Knights take ninth out of 14 schools.

TEAM RESULTS

  • With 621 strokes, the Purple Knights finished ninth among 14 schools.
  • Six of the top seven teams that represented the East at the 2019 NCAA Atlantic/East Regional Championship competed in the meet, including Saint Thomas Aquinas (N.Y.) College, which won with 588 strokes.
