Joe Goodreau joins the Saint Michael's softball program for his first season as the mindset coach with the 2020 season. His primary role is focusing on growth mindset strategies the student-athletes can learn to help improve their performance on and off the field.

A Colchester native and the older brother of softball head coach Nick Goodreau, Goodreau is owner of J. Goodreau Coaching and is a certified consultant with the Proctor Gallagher Institute, where he was trained and mentored by Bob Proctor, a world-renowned expert on the mind, human potential and success. Joe is also a certified corporate speaker with the International Association of Corporate Speakers.

Before launching his coaching business, Goodreau served as vice president and chief information officer for SymQuest Group in South Burlington, directing all technology teams and functions between 2014 and 2016. In the 13 years prior at SymQuest, Goodreau advanced through the roles of director of service-document solutions to vice president-service & support, where he increased service quality and capabilities, and introduced new technologies.
