COLCHESTER, Vt. - Saint Michael's College women's basketball junior Nicole Anderson (Kittery Point, Maine/Marianapolis Prep) was named to the Northeast-10 Conference Weekly Honor Roll for the week ending on Sunday, Nov. 24. This was her first accolade of the year.
Anderson scored a career-high-tying 26 points in 37 minutes of a 74-66 loss at Stonehill College, which was receiving national votes, on Saturday. She shot 10-of-19 overall, including 6-for-13 from three-point range, while adding four rebounds, two assists and two steals. Anderson's six triples matched another career best.
For the season, Anderson averages 16.7 points and 5.5 rebounds while shooting 44.7 percent from the floor, including 37.3 percent from three-point range (19-for-51). She stands second in the NE10 in made threes per game (3.2), sixth in scoring and 16th in long-range success rate. Among all NCAA East Region players, the 5-foot-9 guard is fourth in threes per game and ninth in scoring. A junior captain, Anderson turns in career highs in scoring, rebounding, assists (2.3), shooting, threes per game and three-point percentage. With 98 career triples, Anderson stands 12th in program history; only 11 Purple Knights have 100 threes.
Saint Michael's, which is 4-2 overall and 0-2 in the NE10, returns to action by hosting Southern New Hampshire University on Dec. 4 at 5:30 p.m., kicking off a four-game December homestand.
