COLCHESTER, Vt. - Saint Michael's College had 211 student-athletes qualify for the Northeast-10 Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll for the spring semester, including all 12 from the women's volleyball team (class years from 2014-15 school year):
Senior Hillary Miller (Plattsburgh, N.Y./Plattsburgh/Colby-Sawyer); juniors Kelsey Flaherty (Cold Spring, N.Y./Haldane) and Candace Washington (New Carrollton, Md./Parkdale); sophomores Natalia Maccarrone (Hingham, Mass./Notre Dame Academy), Natalie Moore (Burnt Hills, N.Y./Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake), Megan Mulvaney (Smithtown, N.Y./Smithtown East), Tess Saburn (Basking Ridge, N.J./Mount Saint Mary Academy) and Catie Weller (Smithtown, N.Y./Smithtown West); and first-years Julia Colasanti (Northville, Mich./Northville), Hanna Lesch (North Reading, Mass./North Reading), McKenzie McNamara (Pembroke, Mass./Pembroke) and Megan Priester (Dover, N.H./Dover).
Saint Michael's tied for fourth among the league's 15 institutions by having 63 percent of its NE-10 student-athletes land on the Commissioner's Honor Roll, and was eighth in total honorees. Student-athletes that earn a minimum 3.0 GPA during a given semester are eligible for the accolade. Eighteen of the Purple Knights' squads compete in the NE-10.
The field hockey team topped Saint Michael's with 22 honorees, while men's ice hockey (18), men's lacrosse (18), women's cross country (17) and women's swimming & diving (17) narrowly trailed.
