COLCHESTER, Vt. - The Saint Michael's College women's lacrosse team lost to Northeast-10 Conference foe American International College, 18-15, on Saturday during Senior Day at Duffy Field.
The Purple Knights recognized seniors Hope Alto (South Boston, Mass./Ursuline Academy), Molly Carroll (Marshfield, Mass./Marshfield), Mackenzie Costello (Peterborough, N.H./ConVal Regional), Peyton Edwards (Avon, Conn./Avon), Erin Stolz (Scarborough, Maine/Scarborough) and Emilie Webster (New London, N.H./Kearsarge Regional) prior to the contest.

GAME NOTES
- The Purple Knights went 6-for-8 on free-position bids, while the Yellow Jackets were 5-for-9. The hosts held edges in shots (35-28), ground balls (21-18) and draw controls (21-15).
- For the second consecutive contest, Alto totaled the second-most draw controls of her career, and the most during an NE10 outing. She has 49 draw controls this season, tying Kimberly Ryan '01 (1999) for eighth in program annals.
THE ACTION
- AIC forged a 10-4 lead by the time Stone scored at 13:51 of the second quarter.
- Saint Michael's halved the deficit by 8:18 thanks to strikes from Stolz, Alto and Fenton. Edwards assisted Alto's tally.
- Fenton brought the Purple Knights within 11-9 at 1:56 before Moody and Stone both scored in the final 33 seconds to send AIC into halftime up by four goals.
- Rich and Alto tallied early in the second half to make it 13-11 at 12:40 of the third period, the first of three two-goal deficits in the stanza.
- However, Stone found the net at 12:13 of the fourth quarter before Moody scored 2:54 later, and the Yellow Jackets never again led by fewer than three goals.
