COLCHESTER, Vt. - The Saint Michael's College women's lacrosse team lost to No. 9 Adelphi University, 18-6, during Northeast-10 Conference play on Saturday at Duffy Field. The Panthers were ranked ninth this week in the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) national poll.

THE ACTION
- Grant played a role in her team's first three goals, scoring one and assisting Leggio twice, as Adelphi led 5-0 by 5:53 of the opening quarter.
- Lynch converted junior Catie Murphy's (Northboro, Mass./Brewster Academy/Wagner) feed with 3:44 gone, but the Panthers scored the next three tallies to take an 8-1 lead.
- The Purple Knights countered with a 4-2 run during which Alto and Lynch both had two goals and an assist. Lynch's goal off of Alto's pass made the score 10-5 with 1:16 left in the second period.
- Adelphi tallied twice in the final 26 seconds to kick off a game-ending 8-1 run.
