THE ACTION
- Saint Rose netted the first three goals, with McPeak's second making it 3-0 at 9:39 of the first quarter.
- Drislane (7:56), Fenton (5:18) and Lynch (2:25) tallied during a tying 3-0 run, but Bock scored at 1:17 of the opening period before feeding McPeak to make it 5-3 at 13:11 of the second stanza.
- Lynch scored twice in an ensuing 5-0 run, and Hamilton's strike had Saint Michael's ahead 8-5 with 1:54 left in the first half.
- Bock found the net twice in a three-goal spurt that tied the teams by 4:54 of the third quarter.
- Lynch scored just 1:23 later to put the Purple Knights ahead for good, kicking off a 3-0 run.
- After first-year Kylee Payne netted a free-position goal with 3:50 left in regulation, Pendergast scored at the buzzer to create the final margin.
