NEW LONDON, N.H. - The Saint Michael's College men's tennis team defeated 2025 Conference of New England Tournament finalist Colby-Sawyer College, 5-2, on Wednesday at the Kelsey Courts. The match was a countable contest for the Purple Knights but was a scrimmage for the Chargers.

THE ACTION

• In their debut match together, Lundholm and Macpherson earned a 6-1 win at No. 2 doubles before Boban and Brooker moved to 2-0 with a clinching 6-2 victory in the top spot.
• Koppelmans and sophomore Richard Lin (Fort Lauderdale, Fla./Cardinal Gibbons) nearly completed the sweep but lost a 7-6 (7-4) decision in the third position.
• Koppelmans (6-3, 6-3), Brooker (6-2, 6-1) and Boban (6-2, 6-4) opened singles play with straight-set wins in the No. 4, 2 and 1 slots, respectively, to secure the team win.
• Macpherson lost a lengthy 1-6, 6-0, 7-6 (7-5) contest in the third position before Lin suffered a 7-6 (7-5), 6-1 defeat at No. 6, but Lundholm finished off play with a 6-2, 6-2 win at No. 5.
