SAINT LEO, Fla. - The Saint Michael's College women's lacrosse team opened its season at No. 10 Saint Leo University with a 22-4 loss on Thursday evening at the University Turf Stadium. The Lions' national ranking is according to the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA).

• Lynch's goal went as her 93rd career point, and she is third in program history with 139 draw controls, just four short of Associate Director of Athletics Annie Martin '19 for second place.
• The teams met for the first time.
• Saint Michael's played in Florida for the first time since facing Southern Connecticut State University on the same field at Saint Leo on March 24, 2016.
• The Purple Knights played their first game under interim head coach Mindy St. Marie.

THE ACTION

• Four different Lions scored as the hosts led 4-0 by 8:47 of the first quarter before Frawley struck for a free-position strike at 6:33.
• Saint Leo scored the next 15 goals by the time 6:56 remained in the third period.
• During the final 18:24, Conover scored and dished to Lynch for a marker before Sullivan tallied off of a Hamilton feed, as the teams split the last six goals.
