18 student-athletes are members of the first varsity outdoor track roster in school history ... the Purple Knights will take part in seven meets after also competing in four meets during their non-traditional indoor season ... Bilodeau and Butler were Northeast 10 Conference All-Conference qualifiers during the fall cross country season, while Butler also claimed all-region accolades. Both were the Purple Knights' top distance runners during the indoor track campaign ... in addition to a deep corps of distance and mid-distance runners, first-year sprinters
Demunga Alfani (Colchester, Vt./Colchester) and
Lambert Byamungu (South Burlington, Vt./South Burlington) hail from local Vermont high schools ... the inaugural men's and women's outdoor track teams are guided by head coach
Molly Peters, who has also coached women's cross country for 20 years, Nordic skiing for 13 years, and men's cross country for five years at the College. She is also currently the men's and women's cross country head coach.
