Men's Tennis Blanks Endicott to Complete Season Sweep

COLCHESTER, Vt. - The Saint Michael's College men's tennis team completed a home-and-home season series sweep of Endicott College with a 7-0 victory on Saturday in the Tarrant Recreation Center. The Purple Knights extended their winning streak to three matches.

THE ACTION
  • The doubles duos of Boban/Brooker and Lundholm/Macpherson won dueling 6-1 decisions at No. 1 and 2, respectively, to give their team a 1-0 lead.
  • Koppelmans and Lin rounded out the sweep by virtue of a 7-5 victory at No. 3.
  • The Purple Knights lost a total of only 22 games during singles action. Lundholm and Macpherson dropped two games apiece in straight-set wins at No. 4 and 3, respectively, to make it 3-0.
  • Brooker clinched the team win thanks to a 6-3, 6-2 victory at No. 1 during his initial career appearance from the top flight. Boban took a 6-4, 6-3 contest in the second spot.
  • Koppelmans earned a 6-0, 6-2 win at No. 5 before Lin claimed a 6-2, 6-2 win in the sixth position.
