Women's Lacrosse Loses NE10 Opener at Southern Connecticut State, 16-10

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The Saint Michael's College women's lacrosse team opened Northeast 10 Conference play with a 16-10 loss against Southern Connecticut State University on Saturday at Jess Dow Field.

THE ACTION
  • Lynch scored nine seconds into the second quarter to force the third tie (3-3) before Southern Connecticut State rattled off a 6-1 run. Nolan and Vail both had two goals and an assist in the run.
  • The teams exchanged single tallies until the Owls were up 13-8, but Krawciw and Doherty scored 10 seconds apart to bring their team within three at 7:27 of the fourth quarter.
  • However, Vail responded at 5:02 to kick off a game-ending 3-0 stretch.
