COLCHESTER, Vt. - Saint Michael's College softball seniors
CJ Davidson (Canyon Lake, Calif./Vista Murrieta) and
Brooke Edgerly (Morley, Mich./Morley Stanwood) both picked up their 100th career hits while helping the Purple Knights sweep American International College, 10-8 and 6-2, on Friday during Northeast 10 Conference action at Doc Jacobs Field.

DOUBLEHEADER FACTS
- Davidson and Edgerly entered the day with 98 and 95 hits, respectively. Davidson reached the milestone during the second inning of the second game, becoming the 17th Purple Knight to reach the plateau before ending the day with 101. Edgerly also got to 100 in the nightcap, during her final at bat in the sixth inning.
- Edgerly moved into a tie for fourth place in program history in career stolen bases (26) with Kathy O'Neil '81 and Stephanie Frank '13. She also matched Meagan Newland '06 for fifth in runs (63).
- Davidson moved into eighth in school annals in career RBI (57), passing Kelly Rose Losi '11 (55) and former teammate Meghan Connor '24 (56). She also became the eighth Purple Knight with 100 career pitching strikeouts (101).
- First-year Madi Liimatainen (Turners Falls, Mass./Turners Falls) earned her first college win while making her first college start in the second contest.
- Saint Michael's has now won 10 in a row at home against AIC and nine in a row overall in the series.

THE ACTION
- Doucette's two-out RBI double in the top of the second inning was wiped out by a five-run Purple Knight home half, keyed by Bull's three-run double. Edgerly added an RBI single and Bull also scored.
- Booska's RBI single in the third made it 6-1, and Davidson (double) and Branon (single) added run-scoring hits to push the lead to 8-2 in the fourth.
- Doucette knocked an RBI single as the first of three straight run-scoring plate appearances in the fifth for AIC, which halved its deficit in the frame.
- Branon came through with a key two-out, two-run single in the sixth to push the lead to 10-5.
- In the seventh, Trejo knocked a bases-loaded single that plated two runs before a third came home on an infield error, and AIC later had two on with one out in a 10-8 game. However, the final batter hit a line drive that was dropped on the infield, leading to an unconventional game-ending 6-5-4 double play.

THE ACTION
- Liimatainen's RBI fielder's choice broke the scoreless deadlock in the first inning, and Davidson's two-out, two-run single - her milestone 100th knock - extended the lead to 3-0 in the second.
- Trejo's RBI single and Cividanes' sac fly accounted for a pair of runs in the fourth to bring AIC within 3-2.
- Edgerly made a diving catch in center field to open the fifth before her 100th hit keyed a three-run sixth, when Bull, Davidson and Smith drove in runs, with the former and latter picking up singles.
- Liimatainen worked around a one-out walk in the seventh by inducing a game-ending 5-4-3 double play.
