BRIDGEPORT, Conn. - The Saint Michael's College women's lacrosse team defeated the University of Bridgeport, 14-8, on Thursday at Knights Field.

THE ACTION
  • Three players scored to give Bridgeport a 3-1 lead by 9:45 of the first quarter.
  • The visiting Purple Knights countered with eight of the next 10 goals, paced by Conover's four goals and Hamilton's three strikes. Saint Michael's led 9-5 on Murphy's woman-up goal at 4:54 of the third.
  • Bridgeport was still within four goals at 11-7 on Noack's goal with 9:40 left in regulation before Sullivan (9:03) and Lynch (8:02) scored 61 seconds apart on Hamilton feeds to spark a 3-0 run that secured the victory.
