FAST FACTS
The Purple Knights were ranked fifth in the latest U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) East Region poll ... for the second straight year, only one scoring regular was lost to graduation, as six of seven scorers from the Northeast 10 Conference Championship and NCAA East Regional Championship are back ... the Purple Knights set a school record with a fourth-place finish at regionals last season, missing their first NCAA Championship qualification by a single spot ... the Purple and Gold's third-place showing at the NE10 Championship matched its best since 1995, and was its top performance there since finishing as runner-up in 1989 ... in addition to taking third at NE10s, Saint Michael's was second at Saint Anselm College's Shacklette Invitational, Middlebury College's Aldrich Invitational, and its own Equality Invitational, and third at Lehigh University's 37-school Paul Short Run "green" race.
