High school: Competed in five years of varsity cross country at Barnstable High School … competed in two years of varsity swimming & diving and one year of varsity volleyball … earned Most Improved Player award in cross country junior year … served as captain of cross country team junior year … cross country team was Old Colony League champions freshman, sophomore and senior years.

Personal: Timothy John DeCosta … son of Leo DeCosta and Julie Malcolm … majoring in political science … sister Meghan competed in swimming & diving at Colby-Sawyer College.
