A former head coach at Middlebury College, Angie Boyer heads into her seventh season as an assistant coach with the Saint Michael's softball program in 2025, and the third of her second stint with the Purple Knights after previously coaching between 2014 and 2017.
Boyer was an assistant coach at Middlebury in 2004, when the Panthers set a school record for victories during a 24-8 campaign, before leading the program to a 35-19 mark and one postseason appearance as the head coach in 2005 and 2006. In 2008, Boyer served as the pitching coach at the University of Vermont.
A 2003 graduate of UVM with a bachelor's degree in community development and applied economics, Boyer earned New England Intercollegiate Softball Coaches Association (NEISCA) All-New England and America East All-Conference citations as a senior, when she also served as a team captain. Following her senior year, Boyer earned her program's Sally Guerette Player of the Year Award. Boyer graduated second in UVM history in career strikeouts (298), complete games (64), innings pitched (488.1) and games pitched (75).
In the summer of 2002, Boyer was selected to try out for the Greek softball team that participated in the 2004 Athens Olympics, ultimately being one of the final 30 under consideration.
Boyer has been an instructor with Bases Loaded Softball since 2021, serves as the softball coordinator for the Colchester Youth Baseball and Softball League, and coaches with the Vermont Storm Softball travel team. She has worked at Fletcher Allen Health Care since 2008 and is head coach of the Colchester High School varsity softball team.
