• Won twice at Franklin Pierce on Sept. 9, at No. 5 singles (6-3, 6-0) and No. 1 doubles (6-3)
• Won three of four doubles matches between Sept. 9 and 21
• Earned 6-2, 6-1 win in No. 5 singles at Bentley on Sept. 26

As a Sophomore

• Went 3-1 in singles - including 3-0 at No. 5 - between Oct. 3 and 11, winning twice in three sets during comeback fashion: 6-7 (4-7), 6-3, 7-6 (7-0) at New Haven on Oct. 7 and 3-6, 6-2, 10-7 vs. Bentley on Oct. 11
• Went 3-1 in No. 2 doubles twice during season, between Sept. 13 and 19 and Oct. 7 and 14
• 7-4 at No. 2 doubles over final 11 matches

As a Freshman

• Earned 2-6, 6-3, 10-3 comeback victory at No. 6 singles and 9-7 win at No. 3 doubles against Saint Anselm on Sept. 7 for first two collegiate triumphs
• Earned consecutive singles wins against SUNY Plattsburgh on Sept. 13 and against regionally-ranked Adelphi on Sept. 17
• Claimed four straight doubles victories between Sept. 18 and Oct. 8

High School: Played three years of varsity tennis at Needham High School ... senior captain and team MVP.

Personal: Caroline Grace Sumner ... daughter of Bud and Maureen Sumner ... majoring in business administration and minoring in peace & justice ... Dean's List student ... mother played tennis at the College of the Holy Cross and is enshrined in the institution's athletics hall of fame ... father golfed at Ohio University.
