Alexandra Báez Rentas, a three-year captain and two-time all-conference setter at Saint Michael's, returns to her alma mater for her first season as an assistant coach in 2026.
Báez Rentas is the lone member of her program's 2,000-assist (2,095)/1,000-dig (1,057) club, graduating fifth in school annals in each. She was second in the Northeast 10 Conference in assists per set (7.9) and ninth in digs per set (3.5) as a senior, landing an NE10 All-Conference second team nod. Báez Rentas was an all-league third team pick her junior season, taking fourth in the conference in assist average (8.9) and sixth in digs per set (4.0).
Báez Rentas, who won the College's NCAA Woman of the Year accolade as a senior, was heavily involved on campus as Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) vice president, an NE10 SAAC representative, Mobilization of Volunteer Efforts (MOVE) special events core leader, peer tutor, Athletics employee, and Knight Awards co-founder. She was inducted into honor societies Chi Alpha Sigma (college athlete), Delta Epsilon Sigma (Catholic colleges) and Sigma Beta Delta (business, management and administration).
Báez Rentas completed bachelor's degrees in accounting and business administration in 2025. She earned three College Sports Communicators Academic All-District nods, two Division 2 Athletics Directors Association (D2 ADA) Academic Achievement Awards, and two NE10 Academic All-Conference selections.
