Ameer AlKassir returns to the Saint Michael's Sports Medicine staff for his second school year as an athletic trainer in 2025-26.
A certified athletic trainer by the National Athletic Trainers' Association (NATA), AlKassir returns to Vermont following two years as an assistant athletic trainer at fellow NCAA Division II member Cameron University in Lawton, Okla.
AlKassir previously completed Vermont State University Castleton's 3+2 program, earning a bachelor of science in kinesiology in 2019 before finishing a master's in athletic training in 2022. He worked with the Spartans' women's basketball, men's ice hockey, men's lacrosse and women's soccer programs during his clinical rotation, when he gained additional experience through Slate Valley Physical Therapy and Fair Haven Union High School. AlKassir is a member of Sigma Alpha Lambda, the National Leadership and Honors Organization.
