Brian Buczek joins the Saint Michael's men's soccer program for his first season as an assistant coach in 2026. He is also director of player personnel and head coach of the Vermont Clover FC.
A 2012 inductee into the Vermont State University Johnson Athletics Hall of Fame, Buczek earned more than 100 wins in 12 years as a men's and women's soccer college head coach, landing 1998 and 1999 men's Mayflower Conference Coach of the Year honors. In six years as varsity boys' soccer head coach at Stowe High School, he led the Raiders to an 86-11-8 record, five Division III state titles, and one Division II state crown. Buczek was two-time Capital Division Coach of the Year and two-time Vermont Soccer Coaches Association (VSCA) Small School Coach of the Year.
Buczek founded the Vermont United Soccer Academy and played collegiately at Paul Smith's College and VTSU Johnson, graduating from the latter in 1995 after serving as captain at both schools. He was also an assistant coach at Middlebury College.
