Cameron Curler joins the Saint Michael's baseball program for his first season as an assistant coach in 2019.

Curler comes to Saint Michael's after four and a half years at the College of Saint Joseph in Rutland, Vt., where he was baseball head coach and interim director of athletics in fall 2018 following four seasons as an assistant coach. Curler and the Fighting Saints made United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) National Championship appearances each spring from 2015 to 2018, winning the national title in 2016 and 2017. Saint Joseph was 140-103 overall with Curler as part of the program, including 7-2 with him at the helm in fall 2018. The Fighting Saints went 26-1 in 2015 and 2016 as members of the Yankee Small College Conference (YSCC).

The Vergennes, Vt., native was an assistant coach at the State University University of New York Adirondack in 2014 and has ample summer coaching experience. Curler guided a team in the Central Florida Summer League in 2016 and was head coach with the Glens Falls (N.Y.) Dragons of the Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League in 2017 and 2018.

During his undergraduate years, Curler was a four-year starting shortstop at Castleton University, helping the Spartans go 116-66 and make two NCAA Division III Tournament appearances. Castleton won the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Tournament his freshman year and the North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) Tournament his junior year before Curler was named team MVP as a senior. Curler, who was named NAC All-Academic as a junior, graduated from Castleton in 2013 with a degree in mathematics, after minoring in coaching, and finished a master's degree in education at Saint Joseph.
