Heidi Willoughby is in her first school year as a Saint Michael's women's tennis volunteer assistant coach in 2026-27.
Formerly a nationally-ranked junior player and NCAA Division I player at Clemson University, Willoughby has been the United States Tennis Association (USTA) Vermont State League Committee co-chair, served on the board of the New England Senior Tennis Foundation, and helped coach girls' tennis at Champlain Valley Union High School, including leading the Redhawks to the 2025 Division I state championship crown.
As a player, Willoughby co-captained the New England Friendship Cup team against Quebec for six years and has played league tennis in three USTA sections (Missouri Valley, New England and Northern). A 1988 graduate of Clemson, she netted 65 wins as a collegian, including 40 in singles play.
