Kristen Milne was hired as the Saint Michael's Associate Director of Athletics for Compliance in September 2024 and enters her second year at the College with the 2025-26 school year. She also serves as the Senior Woman Administrator at Saint Michael's.
A veteran athletics administrator, Milne served in a compliance director role at fellow NCAA Division II member Roberts Wesleyan University in Rochester, N.Y., for the 13 years immediately prior to her arrival at Saint Michael's. Milne began her tenure at Roberts Wesleyan in late 2010 as Head Athletic Trainer before moving into a role as Assistant Athletic Director for Compliance and Academic Success in summer 2011. In that position, she created the department's first NCAA Division II compliance program as the school transitioned from NAIA status. Milne provided education and oversaw implementation of NCAA Division II rules and regulations as well as initial and continuing eligibility and recruitment. She served as a liaison to the offices of Registration, Admissions and Financial Aid while partnering with the Faculty Athletic Representative and Learning Center to help ensure student-athlete academic success.
Milne accrued a wealth of athletic training experience prior to her role change at Roberts Wesleyan. Between 2008 and 2010, she was an athletic trainer and adaptive physical education faculty member in the Dansville (N.Y.) Central School District following nearly a year as an athletic trainer and clinician at the University of Rochester Medical Center. During more than a decade working in New England, Milne was a member of the physical education faculty at Chester (N.H.) Academy (2002-07) and Whitman-Hanson Regional (Mass.) High School (1998-2002) while also spending two stints as Head Athletic Trainer at Notre Dame (Mass.) Academy between 1997 and 2002. For the 1998-99 school year, she returned to her alma mater, Eastern Nazarene College, as an Assistant Athletic Trainer/Clinical Supervisor after spending a year and a half as a physical education and health faculty member at Milton (Mass.) High School.
In addition to coaching and teaching field hockey, softball and tennis during her time in Massachusetts, Milne volunteered on the medical team at four Boston Marathons, served as an assistant drug tester for the United States Olympic Committee for four years, and joined the Bay State Games medical team for three years. Milne completed her master of science in strategic leadership from Roberts Wesleyan in 2018. She earned a bachelor's degree in physical education, with an athletic training emphasis, from Eastern Nazarene in 1995. Milne played softball and volleyball in college.
