Saint Michael's College

Saint Michael's baseball alumnus Lenin Gomez '20 returns to his alma mater for his first season as an assistant coach in 2020-21. Gomez is also currently pursuing a master's degree at the College.

Gomez transferred to Saint Michael's for his junior year and immediately made a mark in the program's record book, setting a school standard by being hit by 17 pitches that season while holding down a job as the regular second baseman. He added six doubles, a home run and 10 RBI. The 2020 season was canceled after two games due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

In 61 games as an underclassman at New Jersey City University, Gomez batted .301 with 40 runs, 17 doubles, five home runs and 43 RBI while appearing in the field as a catcher, first baseman and third baseman. Gomez landed on the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) All-Conference second team as a rookie after hitting .310 with 29 RBI.

A Dean's List student, Gomez completed his bachelor's degree in sociology from Saint Michael's in May 2020, minoring in crime and justice.
