Matt Anderson joins the Saint Michael's men's ice hockey program for his first season as an assistant coach with the 2025-26 season.
A native of West Islip, N.Y., Anderson totaled 34 goals and 57 assists over 128 games at the University of Massachusetts, serving two years as a captain, before graduating in 2007 with a degree in mathematics. He later embarked on a 13-year professional career in the United States, Sweden and Russia, ultimately handing out one assist in two games with the NHL's New Jersey Devils during the 2012-13 season.
Anderson was a men's ice hockey volunteer assistant coach at the University of Vermont in 2019-20 and has worked as a sales representative in the sports medicine field since 2019.
