Nick PizzutiNick Pizzuti returns to the Saint Michael's women's volleyball program for his fifth season as an assistant coach during the 2024-25 school year.

Pizzuti worked as a consultant with the Champlain Valley Union High School and Essex High School boys' and girls' teams between 2017 and 2019, mentoring setters and assisting during practices. CVU's boys won the state championship each of those years - defeating Essex twice - while CVU and Essex met for the girls' title all three seasons.

A native of Rhode Island, Pizzuti won a state championship as a student-athlete at Bishop Hendricken High School in 2007 and has played in indoor and outdoor volleyball leagues since moving to Vermont in 2013.

Pizzuti graduated from Drexel University in 2013, completing bachelor's and master's degrees in mechanical engineering and mechanics while earning a graduate certificate in engineering management. Among numerous research programs and projects, Pizzuti completed a senior project sponsored and granted by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). He was inducted into Pi Tau Sigma, the International Honor Society for Mechanical Engineers.

Pizzuti is a reliability and mechanical engineer at IBM in Essex Junction.
