AMHERST, Mass. - The Saint Michael's College men's ice hockey
team (3-2-0, 2-2-0 ECAC East) suffered its second road loss in as
many days on Saturday afternoon, falling at Amherst College,
6-1.
Sophomore Dan Pelletier
(Sutton, Mass./South Kent School) scored his first
collegiate goal 16:57 int the game, giving the Purple Knights a 1-0
lead. Amherst (3-2-1) then rattled off six straight goals to take
control.
Mark Colp led the Lord Jeffs with two goals and
an assist, while Nick Brunette, Eddie
Effinger and Matthew Rhone added a goal
and an assist apiece. Mike Moher handed out three
assists in the victory, while Cole Anderson
stopped 19 shots.
In net for the Purple Knights, senior Brendan Rimmer
(Newbury, Mass./Pingree School) recorded 28 saves. Senior

Briand (South Burlington, Vt./Loomis Chaffee School)
and sophomre Colby MacDonald
(Byfield, Mass./The Gunnery School) earned assists on
Pelletier's game-opening goal.
Saint Michael's returns to action on Tuesday, as the Purple
Knights play their final home game before Christmas, hosting
nationally-ranked Norwich University at 7 p.m. at Cairns Arena in
South Burlington.
