THE ACTION
- Seven minutes into the game, senior Cameron Shepardson skated toward the net with the puck looking to shoot, but Decker poked it away to keep the game scoreless.
- Foster stole the puck at the blue line 16:51 into the first period and skated up the left side before passing the puck during a 2-on-1 to Stewart, whose shot was going to the top right, but Wallace used his glove to snatch the puck out of the air.
- Early in the second period, a wrap-around shot by Morrissey was saved by Decker but the rebound was put home by a sliding Lester to put the Ravens up at 1:14, kicking off a run of three goals in 5:14.
- Antkowiak later came up the left side and passed to open space in front of the goal for senior Kyle Gosselin, whose shot went to the bottom left corner to make it 2-0 at 5:53. The Ravens extended their lead 35 seconds later on a shot from the right point by Jacobs that was tipped in by Foley.
- The Purple Knights scored a power-play goal at 12:22 on a shot by Routh from the top of the left circle that was blocked in front, but Hendrickson was able to hit home the rebound for the goal. Just 51 seconds later, Narby scored another power-play goal on a shot from the center of the blue line that went through traffic.
- The Ravens scored again at 14:57 on a 4-on-4 shot by graduate student Sam Gagnon that went to the upper part of the net, and Busolin scored the fifth goal for the Ravens on a shot from the right point that went through traffic and beat Turcotte glove side with 17:27 gone, capping a stretch of four goals in 5:05.
- The Ravens added to their lead when Antkowiak scored from the right point 2:48 into the third period.
- Redden scored 39 seconds later, tipping home Narby's shot from the left point. Stewart made it 6-4 by scoring a 4-on-4 goal at 5:58, grabbing the rebound of a shot by Narby and making a nice move at the left post.
- The Ravens scored twice on power plays in the ensuing 3:39 to double their lead, with Morrissey tipping in a goal at 7:48 and Jacobs slipping a 5-on-3 shot through traffic with 9:37 gone.
