THE ACTION
- An early 9-2 run put the Purple Knights up 11-4 by 5:53 of the opening quarter, with Purcell scoring five points and dishing to Miller for the other two buckets.

- Miller, Anderson and Ladas put home buckets during a 6-0 response, and the visitors took a 41-36 lead into the locker room.

- The Purple Knights led by no more than four points prior to Fedullo tying the game on a lay-in with 4:13 to go, and senior Takora McIntyre's driving hoop gave the hosts their first lead, 62-61, at 2:44.
- A tying MacDonough free throw was met by two from Dollard with 1:58 left, and Saint Rose led 64-62.
- The advantage was short-lived, as Breunig responded with a go-ahead triple from the top of the arc 18 seconds later.
- Townes rebounded her own miss at 31 seconds to give her team another look at a go-ahead hoop, but Breunig pulled her 11th board with 14.8 ticks remaining before MacDonough drained a pair of free throws at 13.7 seconds to make it 67-64.
- With time winding down, Dollard was fouled shooting a three at 2.1 seconds but missed the first freebie. After making the second, she intentionally missed the third, looking for an offensive rebound, but Miller completed the double-double by hauling in her 10th rebound at 0.7 seconds and, following a timeout, Saint Michael's inbounded in the front court and ran out the clock.
