THE ACTION

• Bloem and first-year Jack Ludwig both rung the post during the first 8:40 of play for the Bears.
• SUNY Potsdam broke through at 13:03 of the opening period, with Geary picking up a loose puck in the slot and beating Murphy to his glove side.
• Murphy kept it 1-0 by making a glove save on first-year Garrett McArthur's breakaway bid at 14:25.
• Saint Michael's found the equalizer at 19:05, with Flack dropping a short pass below the right circle for Stewart, who picked the right corner from up close. Egan also assisted.
• Murphy maintained the stalemate during the middle portion of the second period, making four saves on a power play, including on junior Nick Alfieri's bid from the slot at 8:26.
• Narby led an odd-man shorthanded rush before making a nice move out front but being turned away by Paglucca at 10:50.
• Murphy denied junior Corson Green's one-timer out front at 13:00 during another Bear man advantage.
• Rudicus gave Saint Michael's a 2-1 edge with 15:01 gone, tallying from the left circle during a rush up ice. Schreiner and Ciancio lent assists. However, Terranova tied the game just 3:20 later, scoring from the right circle while being knocked down.
• SUNY Potsdam took the lead for good with a pair of early goals 23 seconds apart in the third period. Clerc blasted a shot home from between the circles at 2:06, and Bloem put in a rebound soon thereafter.
• Bavis made it 4-3 at 6:21 by sending a shot through a screened Paglucca from the blue line. Ciancio and Narby had the helpers.
• Thanks to a power play and Murphy being pulled for an extra skater, Saint Michael's had a two-man advantage for much of the final two minutes, but Bifolchi added insurance by blocking a shot at the blue line and skating the puck into an open net at 18:36.
