THE ACTION

• Dorval broke the stalemate at 12:17 of the opening frame, one-timing home Kantgias' backhanded pass from low in the left circle. Schreiner added the secondary helper.
• Patrick Murphy tied the game at 13:46, carrying the length of the ice before beating the Purple Knight netminder to the glove side.
• Saint Michael's went back in front just 27 seconds later, as Brown's clearing pass was picked off at the blue line by Routh, who passed from the slot toward the right post for Egan. Egan's initial shot was stopped, but his second effort found the net and went down as the eventual winner.
• None of the final five goals came during 5-on-5 play, beginning with Kantgias picking the upper right corner on Brown's glove side from the left circle at 15:43 in 4-on-4 action. That goal was the fourth in a 3:26 stretch.
• Kantgias added a 4-on-3 power-play tally 53 seconds into the second frame, putting home Routh's one-time pass. Narby also assisted.
• At 4:44, Taylor tipped in Narby's blast from the blue line, with Routh posting the other assist on the 4-on-4 tally.
• With 8:21 gone, Narby one-timed home Stewart's backhanded pass into the left circle in 4-on-4 play. First-year David Ciancio (Scituate, R.I./Seahawks Hockey Club) lent a helper.
• Stewart completed the scoring at the 16-minute mark during a traditional 5-on-4 power play, finding an open right side of the net after sophomore Alex Dalton's (Andover, Mass./Valley Jr. Warriors) pass from the behind the left side of the net bounced through a handful of Post feet. Junior Sam Johnson (Freeport, Maine/Walpole Express) tacked on an assist.
