• A defenseman, Kantgias netted his team-high seventh goal, and fourth in three games. Fellow blue liner Narby scored his fourth, good for second on the team.
• Dorval, Kantgias and Narby all extended their point streaks to three games.

THE ACTION

• Schwartz buried a power-play goal at 5:01 of the opening period, firing over Turcotte from the left circle.
• Andary doubled the lead with 9:48 gone, blocking a shot at the point before picking up the ricochet and breaking in alone on Turcotte.
• Ouellette pushed the lead to 3-0 at 5:49 of the second frame, sending home Andary's one-time pass into the left circle. Hayes scored 1:48 later on a wrist shot from the slot.
• Sophomore Gabriel Gagnon (Mascouche, Quebec/East Coast Wizards) nearly got the Purple Knights on the board at 8:56 but rung the crossbar after taking Narby's pass low in the left circle.
• Ouellette scored his second goal at 3:30 of the third period on a bad angle from the left circle during 4-on-4 action.
• The Purple Knights scored twice down the stretch to trim the deficit. Dorval found a streaking Kantgias, who snapped a shot from the right circle over Howard's blocker at 14:30. With 18:43 gone, quick passes by DeCristoforo and Mitchell during a power play led to Narby's one-timer in the left circle, making it 5-2.
• With Saint Michael's holding a 6-on-5 advantage after pulling Turcotte, Andary iced the win with 13 seconds left, after a giveaway at center ice found its way to him in the left circle.
