THE ACTION
- Risk put the Falcons ahead with 9:16 gone in the opening period, banging in a loose puck out front.
- Murphy kept it 1-0 by snapping a glove save of sophomore Ryan Colwell's shot from the left circle at 14:43.
- Schreiner found the equalizer 1:19 into the second frame, as Ciancio's shot from the right point deflected off of McFarland, and Schreiner picked up the loose puck before lifting it from out front over a prone Bateman.
- Albertus Magnus used its special teams to score the final three goals of the game, all in the second stanza. Gagnon tallied from near the left post at 3:40 on a power play after Ignazzitto knocked a loose puck his way from the slot.
- Saint Michael's was continuously on a power play for 3:05 in the middle stages of the period (8:49-11:54), including holding a two-man advantage for 1:05, but Bateman stopped all three tying bids sent his way.
- At 14:04, Kirwin one-timed home first-year Austin Cook's backdoor pass during a power play. Just 2:59 later, Antoniadis' solo effort resulted in a shorthanded marker, as he raced through open ice, stole the puck from a defender in the corner, deked another Purple Knight to get out front, then moved past Murphy.
- Murphy turned aside all 14 shots sent his way during a shutout third period.
