Women's Basketball Defeated at 17th-Ranked Assumption

WORCESTER, Mass. - The Saint Michael's College women's basketball team lost to No. 17 Assumption University, 64-31, on Wednesday evening during a Northeast-10 Conference contest in Laska Gymnasium. The Greyhounds' national ranking is according to D2SIDA, as they are also second in the East Region poll.

  • Saint Michael's outshot the Greyhounds during the first quarter (38.5%-35.7%). Laggis scored her team's first two buckets, and the Purple Knights rallied from down 13-6 to within a point thanks to consecutive three-pointers by MacDonough and Slaven.
