WORCESTER, Mass. - The Saint Michael's College women's basketball team lost to No. 17 Assumption University, 64-31, on Wednesday evening during a Northeast-10 Conference contest in Laska Gymnasium. The Greyhounds' national ranking is according to D2SIDA, as they are also second in the East Region poll.

THE ACTION
- Saint Michael's outshot the Greyhounds during the first quarter (38.5%-35.7%). Laggis scored her team's first two buckets, and the Purple Knights rallied from down 13-6 to within a point thanks to consecutive three-pointers by MacDonough and Slaven.
- Armstrong netted eight points and Stokes had seven as Assumption scored 22 of the next 24 points to lead 35-14 12 seconds into the third quarter.
- Blake's corner three cut the deficit to 18 at 9:13, but the visitors came no closer.
