COLCHESTER, Vt. - The Saint Michael's College women's basketball team lost to regionally-ranked University of New Haven, 55-44, on Saturday during Northeast-10 Conference play in the Ross Sports Center. The Chargers were 10th in this week's D2SIDA East Region Media Poll.

THE ACTION
- Three Chargers hit three-pointers to give the visitors a 9-5 lead by 6:15 of the first quarter before Slaven hit two triples and Blake added three points in a 9-0 run, and the hosts were up 14-9 at 2:20.
- Senior Aurora Deshaies' free throw made it a 19-17 contest with 3:31 left in the second period, but Ava MacDonough hit a three before Slaven, Blake and Kapral put home buckets to cap a 9-0 run, giving the Purple Knights an 11-point lead, their largest.
- King's jumper with 10 seconds left created a 28-19 margin at halftime, and the run extended to 17-2 by the time Lister scored at 5:36 of the third quarter, giving the Chargers a 34-30 edge. King netted seven of the points.
- Laggis knocked down consecutive mid-range jumpers to tie the game, and Blake banked home a three to provide the hosts a 37-35 lead.
- New Haven responded with a 14-2 run, with DeBose netting six points and King five, and the Purple Knights never came closer than seven points down the stretch.
