THE ACTION

• Routh put the Purple Knights on the board just 3:25 into the contest, taking Schreiner's pass at the blue line, getting behind the Greyhound defense, and beating Hauswirth to his glove side.
• Assumption scored twice in a matter of 1:57 to take the lead. D'Ambrosio converted a slap shot from the point with 5:18 gone before Mavrogiannis put the hosts in front at 7:15, tipping a shot from the slot after D'Ambrosio's blast from the blue line.
• The Greyhounds padded their lead with a three-goal flurry during a 4:11 stretch early in the third period. Stalmok tallied on the power play at 2:31, firing from the right circle and hitting a sliding Purple Knight, which deflected the puck beyond Manahan. Sullivan scored 11 seconds later from the left point. Decker added a marker to the goalie's blocker corner with 6:42 gone to finish a 2-on-1 breakout during 4-on-4 action.
