Box Score BRIDGEWATER, Mass. - Saint Michael's College men's ice hockey seniors Tyler Dorval (Liverpool, N.Y./Liverpool) and Sel Narby (Huntington, N.Y./Connecticut Junior Rangers) and first-year Brennan McFarland (Greeley, Colo./Northern Colorado Eagles) combined for 10 points in a 7-2 win over Stonehill College on Friday evening during Northeast-10 Conference play at the Bridgewater Ice Arena.
The Purple Knights leapfrogged idle Post University, which has concluded its regular season, to take over fourth place in the league. With a win or tie at Stonehill in its regular-season finale on Saturday, the Purple and Gold locks down no worse than the fourth seed in the NE10 Championship and a home first-round contest.

THE ACTION
- Following a 10-day layoff, the Purple Knights were held scoreless until late in the first period, but went ahead on Kantgias' power-play goal at 18:20, as he fired a one-timer from the left circle off of Narby's pass. McFarland also assisted. That was the first of seven goals in a 29:12 stretch.
- Dorval put home a loose puck near the right post at 8:14 of the second to make it 2-0, with Schreiner and sophomore Gabriel Gagnon (Mascouche, Quebec/East Coast Wizards) picking up helpers.
- King cut into the deficit just 51 seconds later, tallying from the slot during a 5-on-3 opportunity.
- Murphy made three saves to help Saint Michael's salt away a five-minute major in the middle of the period, and another Purple Knight later went to the box, but Rudicus potted a shorthanded goal at 17:57 after a giveaway in neutral ice. Dorval and Narby assisted.
- Just 56 seconds later, Ciancio scored from the right circle off of a pass from McFarland. Narby also assisted.
- Taylor struck for a power-play goal 1:30 into the third period, pounding home a rebound from the slot following McFarland's initial shot being saved. Senior Matt Egan (Hingham, Mass./Kimball Union Academy) lent the secondary helper, as his team capped a 3:33 stretch during which it scored three times.
- Nehmer slipped a shot through Murphy at 2:13 off of a rebound, but Dorval countered at 3:48 with the Purple Knights' second shorthanded goal, poking a puck away at his own blue line before streaking in alone on FitzPatrick, making it 6-2.
- Stewart tallied from the left circle on a power play at 7:32 following Narby's feed to complete the offensive outburst. Kantgias added an assist.
