Box Score 2 GARDEN CITY, N.Y. - The Saint Michael's College softball team lost a pair of 6-0 decisions to Adelphi University on Saturday during Northeast-10 Conference play at Janet L. Ficke Field. The Panthers received votes toward this week's National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) national poll, finished as the 2021 NE10 Championship runner-up and qualified for the last nine NCAA Tournaments.

THE ACTION
- Sophomore Faith Camilleri walked with the bases loaded in the first inning before Cicchetti followed with an RBI single, but Adelphi ran itself out of the inning when the Purple Knights turned an unconventional 8-3-2-5 double play.
- Hiscock and Johns singled in the third inning to bring the go-ahead run to the plate with two down, but Fon induced an inning-ending groundout.
- Wengryn doubled and scored in the home half, and Cicchetti and sophomore Kendall Winn knocked back-to-back doubles in the fourth to make it 4-0.
- Hiscock was plunked with one down in the fifth and Sroczinski singled, but the duo was stranded.
- Two unearned runs came home for the Panthers in the bottom half.

- Senior Ashley Lombardi's sacrifice fly plated the eventual winning run in the second inning before Saint Michael's spun another unusual double play to end the frame, coming 7-3-9-4.

- Adelphi plated four unearned runs with two out in the bottom half, as Camilleri came through with a two-run double before Cicchetti knocked a two-run single.
