Box Score COLCHESTER, Vt. - The Saint Michael's College women's lacrosse team put a scare into 21st-ranked University of New Haven on Wednesday, standing tied in the waning seconds of the opening half before losing a 17-9 decision during Northeast-10 Conference action at Duffy Field. The Chargers' national ranking is according to this week's Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) national poll.

THE ACTION
- Fenton tallied on an eight-meter shot 33 seconds into the game before Stolz assisted Murphy at 3:29 of the first quarter and scored at 1:15 to provide the hosts a 3-1 lead.
- Bailey and Rishmany scored consecutive goals to tie the game at 10:51 of the second, but Rich buried a free-position shot at 9:11 before Bishop picked the left corner 49 seconds later to reestablish the two-goal lead.
- Three different Chargers scored in a go-ahead 3-0 response, but Rich knotted the game once again at 2:57.
- Bailey (2:00) and Leys (0:39) exchanged goals before Bailey gave New Haven the lead for good, scoring with six seconds left. The visitors carried an 8-7 advantage into halftime.
- Bailey's tally kicked off a 6-0 run, with Webster ending the stretch with a marker at 4:31 of the third period.
- Four different Chargers accounted for the next four goals, and Bishop scored again at 12:03 of the fourth.
