- Ernst assisted graduate student Jenna Cimbron's opening goal at 9:38 of the first period before scoring 32 later, helping Franklin Pierce forge a 5-1 lead by the end of the opening frame. Bishop tallied for Saint Michael's at 8:30, amid a 3:32 stretch that featured five goals.
- Fenton scored twice in a 3-1 run that brought the visitors within 6-4, on Murphy's strike at 7:36 of the second period.
- Cimbron tallied 2:02 later, and Baxendale's goal 2:08 into the third stanza gave Franklin Pierce an 8-4 lead.
- Alto converted Fenton's pass at 7:04 before Drislane's solo effort 29 seconds later again brought the Purple Knights within two goals.
