THE ACTION
- Midway through the opening period, McGillis blocked a shot at one end, leading to Langbacka carrying through neutral ice and feeding Leys for a shot deep in the right circle. Matsoukas turned away the bid, but Langbacka returned the rebound to the net, slipping a low shot home with 9:55 gone.
- The Dutchwomen responded a little more than a minute later, as Bourque rung a shot from the high slot off of the crossbar, and first-year Amanda Quan cashed in on a second chance from the left circle for the first power-play marker at 11:05.
- Sophomore Maddie Suitor potted another power-play goal at 17:07, roofing a shot from in close.
- Bourque fired a shot off of Mudrak's blocker from the right circle at 7:15 of the second period, with the power-play strike pushing the Union lead to 3-1. Junior Meredith Killian found the net from the right point 4:07 later.
- Walsh and sophomore Maya Jones tacked on third-period tallies, with Walsh scoring on a woman advantage.
