THE ACTION
- Murphy made 15 first-period saves to keep the Purple Knights in the game, but Rohrich scored with 4:50 gone, taking a giveaway in the left circle and finishing to the short side.
- Rohrich added another goal at 7:43 of the second frame, finishing from in close after sophomore Michael Flaherty picked off a pass at the blue line and fed him. Jacobs scored on the power play 1:48 later, connecting on a slapshot from the blue line.
- Routh got one goal back with 35 seconds remaining, sending in a rebound near the left post after Martin denied Schreiner's initial bid from below the right circle.
- With Franklin Pierce still holding a 3-1 lead in the late stages of regulation, Saint Michael's twice pulled Murphy in favor of an extra skater, but the Ravens scored from distance each time. Stevenson came up with a turnover in his own zone and dumped the puck the length of the ice into the vacated net at 17:03, and Rohrich scored from center ice to complete his hat trick at 18:40.
