THE ACTION
- Slaven buried a three-pointer at 8:41 of the first quarter to give Saint Michael's a 5-0 lead, the largest advantage by either squad in the opening half. The teams played through four lead changes and three ties in the first 20 minutes.
- The Purple Knights ended the half on a 7-1 run, as another Slaven triple at 39 seconds sent the hosts into halftime up 28-24. Blake's jumper at 9:47 of the third quarter extended the run to 9-1, and the hosts led by six.
- Jordan's jumper capped a 12-4 run, giving Adelphi a 36-34 edge at 4:04, but Slaven's floater at 2:30 put the hosts ahead, 38-36.
- The Panthers responded with the next 12 points, as Graham hit a pair of threes, and her team led 48-38 by 9:28 of the fourth quarter.
- Blake rattled off a personal 8-0 run to bring Saint Michael's within 48-46 by 7:50, and the hosts were down only four points with fewer than two minutes remaining.
- Jordan made a free throw at 1:48, and Adelphi forced a turnover on the next possession before turning an offensive rebound into two more freebies, keying a 7-0 run that came entirely from the charity stripe.
