THE ACTION

- Macijauskas swung momentum in favor of the Purple Knights by blasting a shot home from the left point just before the period buzzer sounded.
- Only 4:58 into the second frame, Macijauskas fired a shot from the right point that rebounded out to Taylor, who stuffed in the second chance for the eventual game-winner.
- Saint Michael's added three more goals in a 6:52 span later in the period. Schreiner won a faceoff directly to McFarland, whose shot from the edge of the right circle handcuffed Mercer at 12:36 to begin the flurry.
- Taylor and first-year Quinn McCarthy (Melrose, Mass./Holderness School) worked a give-and-go a few minutes later, with Taylor concluding the sequence by tallying from the left circle at 16:21.
- McFarland went glove side on the Penmen netminder from the right circle with 32 seconds to go.
